Project Overview
This thoughtfully designed family retreat was created to balance timeless craftsmanship with everyday comfort. With generous square footage and five bedrooms, the home was envisioned as a place where family and friends could gather with ease, while still offering intimate, cozy moments. Natural materials and strong architectural elements anchor the design, creating a retreat that feels both substantial and welcoming.
The Approach
Our approach focused on layering warmth, texture, and light throughout the home. Timber framing and Douglas fir trim were used to introduce natural character, while expansive windows were strategically placed to draw the outdoors in from every angle. Comfort was equally important—radiant heated floors and well-defined gathering spaces ensure the home is enjoyed year-round.
The Outcome
The result is a beautifully balanced retreat that feels grounded, inviting, and effortlessly livable. The stone fireplace and screened porch have become natural gathering spaces, offering comfort and connection in all seasons. Every detail works together to create a home that feels timeless, relaxed, and designed for lasting memories.
