Project Overview
This modern contemporary 4-season cottage was designed to be equally striking from the outside in. Bold architectural elements are balanced with inviting interior spaces, creating a home that feels both modern and comfortable while supporting year-round use.
The Approach
The design approach focused on simplicity, light, and long-term livability. A shed roof and tall, 1½-storey windows were used to bring abundant natural light into the main living spaces, while an open great room and kitchen layout encourages gathering and ease of movement throughout the home.
The Outcome
The finished cottage offers a bright, airy interior paired with a strong exterior presence. Thoughtful layout planning and natural materials result in a space that feels contemporary yet timeless—perfect for both current enjoyment and future retirement living.
Cedar Winds Detail
Cedar Winds carefully integrated architectural form with functional design, ensuring every space feels intentional and well balanced. From the seamless flow of the great room to the cozy screened-in porch, attention to detail and craftsmanship ensures this cottage will adapt beautifully over time.
