Designed as a true family retreat, this Salerno Lake cottage balances comfort, function, and timeless cottage character. With generous living spaces across two levels, the design was focused on creating an inviting place where multiple generations could gather, relax, and enjoy lake life together. Every space was planned to maximize views, light, and livability—making this cottage equally suited for quiet weekends or lively summer entertaining.
The Approach
Our approach was rooted in thoughtful space planning and connection to the outdoors. The great room was positioned to capture sweeping lake views and flooded with natural light, while the pine cathedral ceiling adds warmth and architectural interest. By spreading living space across both the main floor and lower level, the cottage offers flexibility, privacy, and comfort without feeling oversized or overwhelming.
The Outcome
The result is a welcoming, well-balanced family cottage that feels bright, airy, and effortlessly livable. The screened porch has become a favourite gathering space, offering a cheerful transition between indoors and out.
