Our Unique Expertise

No. Not only does Glenn Evans have the authority to draw up plans (he’s registered with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and holds a Building Code Identification Number, or BCIN), but hiring Cedar Winds to do your design has four additional benefits:

  • Our project manager has significant practical construction experience, especially when it comes to highly artistic design elements.
  • Cedar Winds has a lot of experience with local bylaws and obtaining minor variances. We take these issues into account in the design phase, eliminating problems and delays in the build phase.
  • Cedar Winds uses a formula to calculate a design rebate based on project costs—which means more value for your spend.

To Renovate or Rebuild?
Resolve Your Cottage Conundrum

Unless you have a sentimental attachment to the building, it’s often more economical and easier to teardown and build new. In retrofit situations you often have to address pre-existing issues such as mould, cracks in the foundation, and out-dated plumbing and wiring before you can begin. New construction also gives you complete flexibility in terms of size, room layout, and flow.
